A Living, Breathing Therapy

Integrative, evidence-based, and deeply human.

Therapy is not a formula—it is a living, breathing process. As an integrative therapist serving clients across Buffalo, Western New York, and the entire state of New York via secure telehealth, I offer an approach that is as grounded as it is expansive. Rooted in research, shaped by presence, and guided by what matters most to you, this work is designed to honor complexity, foster transformation, and walk with you through the deeply human challenges of change.

This therapeutic approach is a living, breathing process—rooted in evidence and shaped by presence.

It is transdiagnostic, attending not just to symptoms, but to the shared psychological processes that cut across diagnostic categories: rigidity, avoidance, disconnection, and meaninglessness. Rather than organizing therapy solely around labels, we explore what sustains distress and what nurtures change.

The work is process-based, guided by empirically supported mechanisms of transformation—psychological flexibility, cognitive reappraisal, behavioral activation, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and values alignment. These are not just clinical terms, but portals into the daily challenges of being human.

Transtheoretical and integrative, this approach draws from a curated spectrum of models—cognitive-behavioral traditions (CBT, ACT), interpersonal and relational theories, existential and humanistic wisdom, and systems thinking. These lenses are not blended indiscriminately, but selected intentionally and adapted responsively, based on each individual’s needs, preferences, context, and change processes.

At its core, the work is anchored in Rogerian conditions: unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness are not mere techniques, but an ethical stance. The therapeutic relationship is not a container for change—it is part of the change.

We hold an attunement to ambivalence, drawing from motivational interviewing to honor the often-conflicted nature of readiness. Change is not imposed; it’s invited, gently evoked, and supported through collaborative exploration of the tensions between who one has been, who one is becoming, and what matters most.

The approach is existentially real—not afraid to sit with sorrow, uncertainty, mortality, or the rawness of choice. We acknowledge that therapy is not only about relief, but also about contact—with truth, meaning, and responsibility.

All interventions—from cognitive restructuring to mindfulness training, behavioral experiments to constructive problem-solving, communication skills to values clarification—are chosen with precision and humility. Each is supported by research, yet adapted through dialogue, timing, and context.

Finally, the work is systemically aware. It recognizes that individuals do not suffer in isolation, but within relational, cultural, economic, and historical systems. Therapy explores both the internal world and the external forces that shape it. We hold space for individual agency and structural realities.

In essence, this is a therapy of precision and presence, structure and soul—a rigorous and reflective path that honors complexity, fosters transformation, and walks beside clients with clarity, compassion, and courage.

Mission, Vision, & Values

Mission

To offer therapy that is integrative, evidence-based, and deeply human—a practice rooted in presence, shaped by research, and attuned to the complex, evolving lives of individual adults across New York. This work honors the wisdom of each client, centers relational depth, and adapts technical expertise to support meaningful, sustainable change.

Vision

A world where therapy is not only a place for symptom relief, but a space for reflection, reorientation, and transformation—where people can reconnect with what matters most, navigate life with greater clarity and courage, and be met in their full humanity.

This practice envisions psychotherapy as both art and science: a living conversation between theory and experience, research and relationship, structure and soul. It aims to serve as a trusted guide for those seeking thoughtful, skillful support in the face of complexity, challenge, or change.

Values

  • We meet clients with mindful attention, attunement, and a reverence for the unfolding moment. Presence allows space for the unsaid to surface and for healing to take root.

  • This practice brings clinical clarity to psychological complexity. Interventions are evidence-based and intentionally chosen to support individual processes of growth and change.

  • We hold the therapeutic relationship as sacred ground—one where trust, empathy, and safety create the conditions for insight and movement.

  • You are the expert on your life. Therapy is a co-created process that honors your voice, values, and agency while offering tools, reflection, and guidance.

  • This work is grounded in ethical commitment, cultural humility, and professional rigor. It evolves through continued learning, reflection, and responsiveness to each client’s context.

  • We honor complexity and resist oversimplification. Therapy is not only a space for solutions, but also for existential honesty and personal meaning-making.

  • Care is offered via secure telehealth to adults across Buffalo, Western New York, and all of New York State. Therapy should be logistically possible, clinically grounded, and emotionally attuned.
